TS12 Means Orange Is on the Menu... So…Let's Talk Orange In Interiors

Taylor Swift speaks. We listen. And right now, the showgirl herself is talking orange with a capital O. So with orange quite literally flooding our feeds and our brains right now, we thought we’d do a deep dive into some of the coolest ways we’ve seen orange used in interiors.

First off, we have to talk about Loaf (aka the dreamiest sofa brand you ever did see) and their stunning burnt orange velvet material. Can you technically buy the couch in a whole range of colours? Yes, of course, that’s one of the many reasons Loaf tops my list of favourite sofa brands. BUT today we’re talking orange and in our opinion, and we assume Taylor’s, the brilliantly titled “Bobbing Buoy Clever Velvet” has to take the number one spot of orange sofas we’re seeing.

Next up we’re talking beds. Specifically, the Dusk ottoman storage bed in burnt orange.  I know we’re here to talk orange, but I’d also like a quick shoutout for all beds with additional storage. Whoever thought of the ottoman storage bed is forever in my gratitude. Back to orange though. Choosing a bed frame in a colour as bold as burnt orange can be a big commitment, and we get that, BUT sometimes you have to take the leap, and if you’re considering introducing colour to your bedroom, we would put this guy number one on your list. You can absolutely balance out the depth of the orange with some neutral bedding and some natural side tables too!

If there's one thing Anthropologie does well, it's accessories. In fact, in our opinion, Anthropologie does truly everything well, but in this case, we're talking accessories. More specifically, their orange striped ceramic candle. The perfect opportunity for just a gentle pop of orange in your space. And...once you've finished the candle, you've got a gorgeous little vase to keep!

Now if anyone has been ahead of the TS12 trend, it’s Oliver Bonas. They’ve been doing burnt orange in furniture and accessories long before Taylor (sorry!) and they’ve been knocking it out of the park, so they’re getting a double feature. Keeping on the theme of storage, we’ve got to highlight the Loha Coral Orange Velvet & Rattan Ottoman unit that perfectly illustrates how to blend the luxury of velvet with the natural feel of rattan. The colour is also a “coral orange” meaning it’s a little brighter than some of our burnt orange showcases - perfect to accent any room from bedroom to hallway to living room.

We promised two Oliver Bonas features and two Oliver Bonas features we will give. Next we have a major spotlight for the Tress Orange Velvet Chair aka the accent chair of real life dreams. Rather pricey we must say, but this chair really is a statement piece that I don’t think I could ever get sick of. Consider it added to our “Wi$h Li$t” (see what we did there?!).

One thing you can never get me to back down on is the importance of wall art. Whether it’s a big print, a gallery wall, or a small leaning frame, wall art can be one of the best ways to showcase some personality in a space. Not only that, the same way throw pillows can be a seasonal decor choice, wall art can be mixed and matched throughout the year to make your space feel totally new. So, if you’re looking for a slightly less committal way to hop on the orange train this season, we really do suggest a piece of wall art. I’ve picked out a few below depending on your style choices, but may I recommend Dessenio for your art print needs (you can organise by colour, by size, or by style, so get searching!)
